Brilliant friendly pub with Boddingtons on tap.

If you’re in the area, I strongly recommend a visit.

Great banter with the regulars and the landlady too.

Both disappointed and relived that this isn't a doctorly tale of a patient with haemorrhoids.

Stayed last night in the Greyhound in Chalfont St Peter and one of the rooms was named 'The Chalfonts' (cf The Grapes).

I had no idea Boddingtons even existed any more. Who brews it?

I assume we're talking actual Boddingtons, not smoothflow horribleness.

@Bunnyhop, we actually came through Marple on the Middlewood Way before picking up the Pennine Bridleway. It looked lovely.

@IHN proper Boddingtons on tap, in a great pub. Think it may be Manchester brewery?

Hydes brewed a cask Boddingtons for Interbrew for a while… I believe that stopped years ago.

There’s none of the proper stuff anymore, just some keg things branded like cask.
