Should I watch Hunger?
Yep, a difficult subject, unlikeable protagonist - and yet somehow remained compulsive viewing.
Yeah, compulsive. One of those films I get to the end of and think "Why did I watch that?"
Compelling viewing imo, if hard work at times. On a side note, I reckon fassbender would have made a cracking Patrick Bateman 🙂
Definitely one of those movies I enjoyed, but couldn't imagine watching again.
I think Hunger's much better.

Started Shame, but didn't last more than 10-15 mins.
One of my favourite westerns although the whining kid got on my tits.
It was a well made, well performed film. Fassbender is a very compelling actor. I can appreciate it, but didn't really enjoy it. I think the writing was a bit sparse at times. Maybe dialogue was improvised.
I would criticise it by saying it lacked in any kind of satisfaction or reward for the viewer, but then that may have been the intention, since the central characters are similarly lacking.
Footflaps my bestmate didnt last long. Knowing him it probably reminded him about himself..
Jimjam- it ended without resolution didnt it. Which way was he turning? 1/3 it slowed down for about 20mins. Found that trying. Glad I perceivered though. Although fassbenders knob waa out too much the nakidness was required wasnt it?

I think his knob was out once wasn't it? But it was a fairly long scene. The film is about sex, that's all the character has in his life, his dick is ruling his life so that's probably why the director is forcing you to look at it.
