Just thought I'd share this short film.
A UK team of paddlers take on one of the most committing rivers of the world, the grand canyon of the Stikine in Northern British Columbia.
Pretty nice film if you're into kayaking or not...

dont know if it is just getting older, or becoming a grandad, or even coming out of the good side of a serious health scare.......but that just scares the shit out of me.
i cant think of anything more terrifying to be honest.

hats off to em tho.

Reminds me of rafting down the Elaho/Squamish in BC. It wasn't as tight as that, but spectacular all the same.

Some friends of mine have just been out to do it. Its on my to-do list... if we ever get any rain so I can go and practice!

From what they said, the water isn't mega hard, it's just big volume and chunky. Just looks like an epic trip!

It's an awesome video. The thing is, that looks scary as **** and not fun or fast enough to get a buzz out of it.

Eg, if I had the skill to do it I'd love to do the Isle of Man TT. I wouldn't mind doing some wingsuit basejumping - kayakers are mad.... it just doesn't and never has appealed to me that much.

Oh it is. It really is.

Best thing about kayaking is it goes really well with biking. When it's dry ride, when it's wet boat.

Talking of The Everest of rivers, this one is the river of Everest - with old-skool equipment. Terrifying.

I've never so much as tried kayaking, but for some reason I absolutely LOVE kayaking films. Will watch this tonight, ta.

Almost makes me want to get back paddling again. Almost. A very bad experience on the White Nile put an end to that a few years ago.

What happened GregMay?

I paddled out there in 2005, had fun but my eyes were on stalks most of the time. Took a swim my first run down Silverback...
Now that rapid gave you a buzz for sure! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I'm paddling right behind the camera paddler here.
