Anyone else catch the first 2 episodes last night? Thought they were very good and another intriguing plot. I loved the first two series and hope this one carries on the good work.

It's OK. I miss Martin through. He was good at reining in Saga's excentricities.

Never seen it before, but watched the first couple of episodes of series 3 last night.
I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but I think I had my fill of psychotic female leads halfway through S2 of Homeland.
I guess it may lose something in translation.

Wasn't impressed. Saga's little eccentricities are now far too blatant. I laughed out loud when she did a pantomome double take at the same time as trying to look confused. It's as if she's now a cyborg replicant being taught emotions.
Do you want a hug?

The hug bit was great 🙂
I also liked being "a bit Swedish" being an insult in Denmark.

I really enjoyed the first two seasons, I think I'll enjoy the third too, although it's definitely weird Martin not being there

I've just finished watching season 2 of Arne Dahl - another good series if people aren't already aware!

No Martin!? He was a brilliant character and a great foil for Saga. I'll give S3 a go so long as she still has her Porsche.

I might of been looking forward to it to much as I thought it lacked a little. Some great plots, what is her new partner and his wife all about???

Still brilliant though

Is The Bridge something I can start in series 3 without having seen the previous 2 series?

Yes. All you need to know is that Martin was her old partner who she shopped for mudder.

I think I agree with suburbanreuben, but it's good anyway. New guy looks interesting, blatantly some shexy timesh ahead. not uncomplicated for sure.

Only watched the 1st episode last night. Suffering the usual issues with a returning series where one of the principles has been left behind and you have to get used to new characters. Sure it'll be splendid.

Sofia Helen has been on radio quite a bit the last few weeks. Seems an interesting woman.

I miss Martin too, but the OH and I thought it was a promising start. The two police bosses are clearly going to be bigger players in this series and I especially like him.

Suburbanreuben +1 it was like a cross between spock and Arnie

Ridiculous acting

Story seems a good one, but it was a hammy performance

The porsche is lovely though

Agree it's not quite as sharp as the original, Sofia Helin acting like saga norin where as in the first series, she was saga

Well, i just caught up with S3:E2, and i think i'm hooked. It's a bit different, perhaps a bit more obvious acting in places (esp. from Saga) but the plot is already complex, fast paced and grabbing!

Can also recommend 'Beck' as a good nordic noir crime drama. Agree that Bridge 3 has started well.

Loved it and very glad it's back. Didn't notice the "over acting" I think you may just be used to how she reacts in certain situations. The new partner mix is going to be intriguing, as in S1/2 it was Martin's chaotic life v Saga ordered one. Now she has a partner who is very organised but has very unconventional relationship.

I've given up on this. It's unwatchable.
But then I have been watching the first couple of episodes of Spiral series 3, which is a hard act to follow.

It's Henriks wife / family........He's been doing a "River" (talking to the dead). That's why she keeps encouraging him to find a girl, move on.

Glad I saw Episode 4 last night, classic Saga hitting on people for sex.

I have no idea what was in the bag or why he did it like that, what is going on with the housing woman and her young lover

Excellent stuff

There is some overacting, she comes across as very robotic now, rather than just bordering inhumane.

Enjoying it, despite missing the Herrings.

I think it is a reaction to what is happening in her life. Stress of her mum, dad dying, her boss being kidnapped the case some people develop a twitch she goes a bit manic with the eyes.

doing a 'river'

He sees dead people?

There's a lot going on, feels like it skims over the top of a lot of stories at once, thought the same of B2. But it keeps interesting.

Just watched episode 4. The meaning of that cold case file took a moment to sink in then a genuine wtf moment. I did wonder why when he turned the kids to off in e3 they didn't complain.

I was getting ready for a disappointment - Martin Rhode gone. Such brilliant stories in B1 and B2 which they could never match again.

Pleased to report that B3 is fabulous. Enjoying learning more about Saga. Loving the story. Not often I would watch drama live (rather than recording for later consumption) but am looking forward to Ep 5 tomorrow.

Wonderful stuff.

Yep this series is brilliant. Really enjoying it. The Aspergers is a bit OTT at times though.

What did you think of the last season of Arne Dahl? I was a bit disappointed. I was really looking forward to some more intrigue with that cleaner guy!

Why was Claes Sandberg holding a spade when he met Freddie Holsts wife outside his flat? I think he's killed Annika Melander?

Regarding sideplots - so who was the exhumed skeleton in the mortuary? Saga's sister? With the no broken bones bit meaning she didn't actually die falling in front of a train? Or one of Henrik's missing family?...

We never watched series 1, so DVD purchased ready for post-Christmas Saturday evenings.

I thought it was Claes this morning but it is to obvious, dont want anything bad to happen to Janette and the baby. Who is trying to frame Saga?

I quite like Freddy 😆

So so so good

In wittingly I did a big ride today and the Mrs is out with the kids in the morning giving me a lie in. As she doesn't like subtitles to I usually watch it on sky plus recorded, but I think tonight has late night viewing with a bottle of Christmas Port written all over it.

Utterly brilliant but did I miss something?

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I didn't get why/how Freddie Holst was the killer's father by Anna-Marie Larsson via the AI clinic. Presumably Freddie donated sperm anonymously (why?) but why did the killer's mother have AI in the first instance and then he wound up in the care home?

I just didn't get the link with the first woman he killed who was Morten Anker's mother who was supposed to be the killer's brother but she wasn't the killer's mother (or was she?).

The plot had so many twists and turns and sub-plots I got a bit confused, especially watching it over 5 weeks.

One to watch in the new year - Deutscheland 83.
