i was thinking about this band today (i only heard a few songs from them on the radio) wasn't into britpop tbh (was listening to thrash/soundgarden.nin e.t.c during the 90's 🙂 i do remember always liking their stuff,whenever i heard it though.it's just a shame they split up by all accounts 🙁
If you liked the Beta Band, check out the Aliens, Lone Pigeon and Steve Mason's solo stuff - all offshoots to some degree. King Creosote and many of the other Fence Collective artists have similar sensibilities too.
AlSo check out king biscuit as this was a beta band project.
Well worth getting the 3 eps by the beta band, great album.
3 ep's is one of the greatest albums ever..most of it improvised in the studio!

Not sure what it has to do with "britpop"?!
Dry the Rain maybe my favourite song of all time. All the critics loved the Beta Band but they hardly sold any records so they got fed up and stopped.
