I need a PLB, but don't want to alert the normal emergency services. Is there any way of a PLB after being set off, only alerting a predetermined email address or number of numbers?
It doesn't matter if this is via the UK emergency services or SAR, but I will be inland, thousands of miles away from them and they probably won't be able to help me.
Any thoughts?

Rich - i had a look at those spot trackers, but they don't seem to be very reliable. Seems like a bit of a gimmick. Thanks for the suggestion though.
