Can only say about the original cut, size was what I would normally wear, I have used then for walking and snowboarding in Canada.
I bought my brother a pair and he uses them all the time in the Canadian winter months
Only got the limited original ones. They were quite baggy at the time and are a bit too much so now that fashion is tending towards more fitted cuts. Not sure how the newer slimmer cuts are. They don't breath or slide over your skin (due to slightly rubberised inner) as well as normal jeans but at least they are slightly stretchy.
No idea about sizing as I have the originals. They let water through but dry quick but are brilliant ifor skiing with leggings on underneath.
