So, my Wife has the possible option to work over there for 2 years from Aug 2018, which will involve moving the family over (currently 5, 3 and 1). Any experiences of living over there and what to expect would be greatly appreciated. And the mountain biking of course.
We've actually been once before, on some sort of odd bus tour - can't remember if it was waiting for a connecting flight or while we were working our way round the rest of Borneo.
Pros:

Good international school(s) for kids. (I think someone told me once)
Good TV channels ... (subscribe not free)
Near to neighbour Borneo states such as Kuching, Sabah & Kalimantan etc
Friendly people
Small country
Expat community there ...
Good salary
Strong Islamic culture (enter Rome etc so long as you respect them)
Cons:
No entertainment i.e. night club or pubs ...
No alcohol (you need to buy them somewhere ...)
No Pork (you need to buy them somewhere ...)
Small country.
Boring.
