Going to a gig down there tonight, seems that old favourite PlanB has had a fire so is closed. Bunch of late 30s ageing ravers (couples) need a nice place for drinks and some food pre-concert. Any ideas? Near-ish the Academy.....

We went to a decent place before seeing Doves earlier this year - i think it was called Ralph's (but don't hold me to it!) - opposite the witherspoons (which looked dodgy)
its about 1 minute round the corner to the Academy.
grub was good too

My local - the Effra on Kellett Street. Guinness/Red Stripe, nice vibe, live jazz, jerk chicken.

have gone for Brixton bar and Grill, recommended on Urbanpath.....now tell me how pants it is.
