Yes I could draw this myself but I am lazy. Has anyone seen a route map that is on OS maps rather than road maps?
If so a link please.

Think the French version of our OS is ign.fr

Whether you'd get the stages drawn on them I dunno. Website is in French obviously. 🙂 So, open it in chrome.

EDIT:

Clue's in the title there Lifer.

I can't see any clue in the title that the OP is about to ask for the maps in OS. 😕

I reckon the OP means TdF 2014 starting in Yorkshire

No, but I assume he's meaning the first two stages in Yorkshire next year, so there's a chance he might not be as daft as people seem to think.

On-topic, sorry, haven't seen one myself.

I think the maps are stylised and rough at the moment...the route only gets finalised much nearer the start date,,,after negotiaitions with police/safety/local authorities/highways agencies/etc/etc. If my experience of trying to find the exact route for a few stages in Brittany a few years back is anything to go by it may be as late as Feb or March before detailed route is finally published.

Ta for trying!
Yes I did assume that by saying stages 1 and 2 in the title people would realise that I was talking about the UK and thus OS was correct.
sorry but the map at the bottom is what I have hence the request for OS. I can drag up an OS map on the web and draw it myself but was too lazy last night and was hoping that someone else had done it for me.

The route isn't locked down yet, the ASO tech guys are reviewing it at the moment and the final route will be confirmed in October.

Stage 1 goes right past the front door of the family cottage and Stage 3 goes within a mile of my house!

http://www.letouryorkshiredales.com/index.asp

Click on the route maps link and there's a couple of tabs there to show/hide Stage 1 and show/hide Stage 2.

A mate was over that way the other day and he said on one of the roads there were loads of orange markings, ringed potholes etc, presumably where they're going to be resurfacing it in advance of the Tour.

Final route is usually confirmed sometimes around November although even then it might be subject to change (if Hebden Bridge gets flooded again for example...)

Woohoo - never mind sisters house, a mile from etc, stage two (assuming it remains unaltered and I can't think of how else they will get into Sheffield city centre) goes right past my front door.

I have a nice elevated front garden so even if people are lining the streets I will get a stonking view!

Cheers

Danny B
