Sky box has given up the ghost.

Rather than paying £45 a month for the privelage of getting freeview and Sky Sports I was looking at BT vision as out broadband is already with them.

However the website is telling me that there isnt any freeview in Wokingham untill 2012, surely thats complete horse**** as loads of people round here have it! I thought the whole country did and that 2012 was the last day for analogue?

Anyone in the Swiley area got BT vision? Does Sky Sports work?

No reason for it not to work. The 2012 thing will be the actual switchover when you will get all the features HD and the likes. If you get your TV signal from Hemdean the old kit will be getting swapped soon!

If you already have a dish, why not just get a FreeSAT box and plug that in, instead? More channels than Freeview...

Works for me.

yea, but the missus has a blind insistance on getting sky sports which seems to limit us to either sky or BT vision, just not entirley sure whether they are broadcasting sky sports over the freeview signal or if it comes though the broadband then I guess it'll work anywhere in the country.

Time for a few phonecalls.
