I am, you may be surprised to know, about 60% Northern. Somewhere near Doncaster, as it happens. Which is odd, as I lived there many, many years ago!
🙂
I'm 5% Northern which is probably quite enough, tbh.
Phew 10%
100%!
25%! I blame the parents-in-law's influence who originate from Harrogate/ Knaresborough...
Cheers,
Jamie
12%. Thank goodness.
Only 10% poor effort
100% Northern
85 % but i dont drink alcohol and I dont eat chips and gravy
97%
I feel ashamed of the 3%
it's a f'in yorkshire/lancershre test, the north start above there...
I am 79% Northern, which apparently puts me somewhere around Hull. While I am proud to come from the salt of the earth, northern working classes, Hull FFS, the shame, me mum will never talk to me again.
25%! I blame the parents-in-law's influence who originate from Harrogate/ Knaresborough...
If they had come from the North, rather than a southern enclave, you could have scored higher.
ONEHUUUNDRED!
Somewhere around Newcastle. Spot on, but living in Scotlandshire.
60%, and I'm south of the Surrey Hills
Only 90%! I am outraged!!!
"23% northern: Somewhere around London"
That's scientific accuracy, that is! 😀
Its pretty accurate, I'm from Stockton on Tees
90% northern
That's somewhere around Middlesbrough
70% Northern (Hull-ish). I've said before that Cannock has northern aspirations. That's why everyone rides orange 5s
55% and ashamed as I'm southern as they come!
5% and that's only because I've seen pictures of an 'oat cake' in a magazine so knew what it was.
My mum considers herself 100% Scottish which is odd as her father was from Accrington..
Needs 'Other' options 🙂
37% which put me 'somewhere around Oxford' which is actually where I live. Can't argue with that really.
100% northern,Newcastle apparently
85% Northern - Somewhere around York.
Well, as I originally came from Yeadon, it seems pretty good to me!!
Rachel
that bloody test is clearly devised by a southerner.
it's pie 'n peas w'mint sauce roun'dere, not gravy.
100% and proud - but being a Mackem (now living in Leeds) a bit miffed at the Newcastle reference!
30%
90% northern
That's somewhere around Middlesbrough
90% here too. I'm from Middlesbrough.
I haven't lived there for 15 years so I'm pretty glad I'm still a Boro Boy.
Whilst I know what an oatcake is, I don't like them. And I don't know what a pie barm is.
Now, where do I get my certificate and White Rose sticker?
100% northern, which isn't quite right as I live in Worksop, north Notts!
10% because I know what an OatCake is?
Pathetic..
I know where H'rogate is dontchaknow.. 🙄
0%
5 years living in the desolate North did me no harm it seems.
Anyway, aren't Oatcakes a midlands thing?
I remember picking up my Roadrat from Swinnerton's (on the way up to the proper noth) on a Saturday morning, and seeing a massive queue, right down the street, for the Oatcake shop a few doors down. Thats about all they sold, oatcakes- needless to say we tried some and they were alright, not as good as the ones in the cafe on the Hardhurst Farm campsite in Hope tho...
Cheers,
Jamie
Wow, 100%, somewhere around Newcastle. Not very accurate.
70%, despite being Southern.
75%
I blame the missing 25% on Thatcher.
100% - Newcastle ! ......
T' bl**dy cheek, I'm Yorkshire born and bred not a Geordie !
Off topic!
which I reckon is purely as a result of having ulcerative colitis which caused me to try oatcakes and drink bitter instead of cider
Yunki, I was diagnosed earlier this year, been taking Asacol and seem to be able to eat & drink whatever, tho I wasn't too good after a curry recently 😳 Have you changed your diet drastically? I ask because I've not been feeling as healthy as I did a few months ago, wondering if getting much more fibre in my diet might help?
Cheers,
Jamie
77% Northern, grew up on the Channel Islands...
85% Northern - Somewhere around York.
Grew up in Wakefield, so I can cope with that.
Interestingly, the big arrow on the map is pointing nearer Tynemouth which is nearer to where I live now.
Disappointed, born and bred in Cumbria (although technically it was Lancashire when I was born) and only got 83%.
85%, somewhere near York.
That'll do me, born and first decade in NornIrn, then Middlesbrough, Nottingham, Worthing(sorry) and Doncaster.
The question about bread goods could put folk off though, see:

Aye hmmm 100% tha'knows !
100% (unsurprisingly). But somewhere near Newcastle? Thats in the north, its not 'northern'. Bloody stupid inaccurate internet game thing.
100%, somewhere around newcastle. spot on, 6 miles east of the toon
