Stopped off in Lakes before secret visit North of the Wall (don't tell the committee!)
Quick run up Todd Cragg on Loughrigg and was shocked at what looked like a large scar going up thr side of Low Pike towards Sweden Bridge. Looks awful from a distance. Is it as bad close up?
Fairly certain it's a hydro scheme, yes scar very visible but will grow back in time (I guess). New build at the bottom for the pump house. Not sure who its for, but guess with all the rain in the Lakes it's good use of energy.

You can pedal up it. Head up the Struggle out of Ambleside and left up and follow the lane that goes from tarmac to dirt all the way up above the treeline
