When you read about the stuff Yanks put on & in their food. Urrgh
TTIP will force europe to remove those safeguards or face heavy fines

Totally agree.

It is not the first time they have tried to bring it in. And even if we are lucky enough to block it this time too - it will be brought back again in the not too distant future.
It is a huge money spinner for the big corporations. They will do their utmost to get it up and running for sure.

I really can not believe anybody would want to see the NHS privatised. Just look at the USA to see how this country would be like with private health care.
The TTIP is not just about the NHS either - schools/colleges/universities would be privatised too.
In fact, just about every thing that would make a buck would be taken.

And short term the wages of these places may rise. But as soon as the contracts have to be won, the wages will decrease ... along with the quality of the service.

To be fair to the increasingly-tabloid [i]Failograph[/i], they did recently publish [url= http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/nhs/11319627/AandE-in-crisis-a-special-report.html ]an excellent article on the pressures faced by A&E[/url]. I don't agree with the conclusion (which is pretty much their standard editoral line), but the actual shopfloor reportage was excellent.
