I know it always shines on Leith but this is a refence to the musical using the songs of the Proclaimers. Has anyone seen it and what did you think?

Review in todays Grauniad. Very positive, 4/5. Bought tickets for Northampton show a few weeks ago.
I know they've never been 'cool' down here, as work colleagues love to point out, but who cares - as their Oxford gig last year showed, it's their loss.
Anyone for a chorus of Kilmarnock Blues?

Saw it last year, I'm a fan and I loved it. My wife isn't too fussed about their music but she loved it too.

Anyone who can write stuff like this is good for me.

Oh Jean,
I’d never been lucky with girls I confess
Don’t know who to blame for my lack of success
Cause even with ones up the back of a bus
There was always the risk of a slap in the puss

I saw it a couple of years ago... Pretty stunning tbh. I'm no proclaimers fan but the use of the music is really fantastic, you'd think most of the songs were written for the show. Some are a bit wedged-in but mostly they just fit. The title track was a proper tearjerker, won't say more than that. And you think you know what to expect from Letter From America but that's not what you get. It's bloody well done, think I'd recommend it to anyone with ears.
