Ok, looking to book a few days away with the wife in June and it's driving us mad. Criteria is "lakes, hills, pretty views, warm, mix of a few things to do"
Would only be a Tuesday to Friday thing so dates are restricting a lot. So far we think lake Bled in Slovenia is best mix.
Bedazzle me with your better ideas. Italian lakes it looks impossible to get everything to line up...
We flew into Bergamo and had a few nice days around the town, the hills and water of Lago Iseo.
Bled is a lovely place, but it's just Bled. You will have to travel (not far) to places. Bled's less then two hour's drive from so many places... Ljubljana, Austria, Venice, soooo many places.
Julian Alps: Near! White water rafting? Yes. Wind tunnel close by? Yup. Good places to eat? Strelec in Ljubljana ( https://www.restavracija-strelec.si/). It does not have a Michelin star, but should do.
Fly in and out of Verona for lake Garda ?
Austrian Lakes in Carinthia
Fly to Klagenfurt. Lots of lovely lakes and the Kara****en mtns are very close by
Holy swear filter Batman
I'm surprised you give a toss about the swear filter tbh...
Qué??
Bala - starts with a B. Tick most things, and you may get 'warm' !
What about Zell am See via Salzburg ?
lake, mountains , Kaprun glacier , bikes , paddleboards etc etc
hotel Romantik highly recommended with its spa and free bikes !!
Milan - drive to Lake Lugano or Como in under an hour and a half?
