Heading back down south on Saturday but could do with a suggestion for a 4hr ish walk somewhere between linlithgow and Carlisle. We will be heading down motorway so ideally not a massive diversion from there. Maybe a section of the southern uplands way?

Intermittent internet connection so excuse infrequent replies.

Grey Mare's Tail and Lock Skeenย  from A708 near Moffatt

You can extend the walk to be as long as you want it to be

Top section of the Annandale Way up round the Devils Beeftub from Moffat and down through the Corehead community woodland. If you park somewhere up the wee side road that goes up the riverside into the bottom of the Beeftub you can shorten it down.

Awesome suggestions Moffat will be the stop and we will define things closer to the point. Thanks again.
