Should've had an STW election party in a pub somewhere, with all the political STWers getting drunk and arguing over it.

I've had wine! I'm listening to election live. I'm right and you're wrong. Margaret Beckett on Radio 4 sounds drunk.

It would have been most people having a laugh while the usual suspects displayed their elite handbag skills.

This is true. I've invited a few STW regulars out for a pint, but they've sadly declined.

Funny that. Because they've been very outspoken on here, yet strangely reticent to actually air their views in 'real life'. Oh well. I suppose it's easier to be brave from behind the safety of a keyboard....

Shame. I'd have well enjoyed an Election Night piss-up!

I'd have a pint with you Talky, but I'd be a bit shy. Socially akward, see. Riding is better, got sometign in common then.

However I'd have had the same discussions on politics, since it's an academic thing.

I'd be perfectly happy to come out and have a few pints/argue. As long as it's not about politicians. Of course, I live up North, not the smoke so it'd be awkward, plus if you're even vaguely like your online persona I'd plant you after five minutes, although I'll accept that the reverse is also true.

Ah. My vote was well placed then. I was worried she'd gone all NewLabour and was toeing the Mandelson line, but no, pissed on R4. Class.

Sob! 😥

Oh that's marvellous that is, eh?

Maybe it's simply because they don't fancy me. It is not an unknown phenomenon.....

😀

Woohoo!

First time I done mushrooms, was a New Year's Eve, and a mate came round to mine. We made some 'tea', then went to meet our other friends in the Blind Beggar in Whitechapel. Good God; we had to walk round the block a couple of times before we plucked up the courage to go inside. Lordy. All red and orange. When people started doing the conga, it all got a bit too much.

Good night out, that. Very interesting.
