The bunch of international assassins that killed that Hamas chappie didn't use their own passports, meaning that they wouldn't get their frequent flyer miles credited to them.
Do these people never plan these things out properly?

Probably planning a suicide attack next. Don't get frequent flyer thingys for one-way trips and (correct me if I'm wrong) but they can't be handed on with the rest of one's estate?
