i rarely use facebook.if i want to contact someone,i presume i use the "send joe bloggs a message" link under there profile on the profile page.will this just go to them or be public? i sent someone else a message a while back and i think it went onto there wall? i just dont want everyone seeing my tedious, do you wanna come down the pub? type conversation...

If you click on the persons profile and enter text into the box at the top, that goes on their wall i think.
