The stuck in Italian lakes thread got me thinking: If anyone is waiting for planes out of Grenoble Airport or similar, then please get in touch as we live 10 minutes drive from the airport and might be able to help.

TGV direct to Paris. 1 or 2 stops IIRC. If Eurostar still bogged down, train to Calais then queue for ferry. They will start accepting turn up foot passengers in the next day or so
