Mrs Pondo's phone has suddenly fallen victim to Airpush ads popping up, activating the phone when locked, butting into things she's streaming and generally being a PITA. Had the (Android) phone for awhile, only happened over the last couple of days, can't see an Airpush app to unistall, installed anti virus and anti malware which has made no difference, done some Googling which suggests installing a cookie to stop the ads which likewise has proved pointless. Any tips for stopping it? Really annoying - can I get them shut down with GDPR legislation?
Airpush will be contained in another app she has downloaded recently . Ironically, there is yet another app called 'airpush detector' which claims to be able to detect which app is responsible so you can delete it.

Can't attest to how useful/safe this is, you might want to do a bit more research in case it's out of the frying pan into the porn pop-up.
I'd back it up and factory reset it TBH. Who knows what else is lurking on there that you can't see.
