Odd one, friend of SO came round to house earlier left his electric wheel chair outside for a couple of minutes and some scrote stole it. He has CP so is now housebound till he can sort a replacement out.

So if anyone in Cheltenham comes across a dumped electric wheelchair could they let me know

Its a sad life, scum are stealing kids buggies and prams, bikes and now wheelchairs, theres been quite a few nicked recently.

Perhaps an enforced weekend in a wheelchair may stop the ignorant thick stupid muppets who do it,do they realise a chair is that persons freedom.

I would willingly connect the thiefs genitals to the charger when caught, with crocodile clips.

Semi rant over.

Bloody awful, how low can these scumbags get, was it insured?

Only asking because my old ma is always worried someone will nick her mobility scooter, I could only get insurance for when it was at her home

managed to find it, dumped in a hedge with a flat tyre, i guess they got a puncture or rolled the tyre on a kerb and then dumped it.

There really are some sh1ts about!

Well, glad to hear it's been found, hopefully without too much damage, but what a disgusting and utterly selfish thing to do. Jeeze, that's lower than low, that. FFS.

no damage, but to be fair they are built like tanks, i think it weighs 45kgs. which for a few steel pipes, some small wheels, a couple of motors and a battery is impressive.

Glad it was found. I've worked for an NHS wheelchair service for 6 years and you'd be shocked how often this sort crap happens. Still gets me so angry.

... oh and most electric wheelchairs weigh between 80-100kg!
