Sorry if this has been asked already, but if anyone can recommend me a freebie to do this I'd be grateful.

I'm scanning in loads of old pics and have just come across a set of linked photos I took and would like to make a panorama of them.

Cheers

Julian

A thread last week is also worth reading:

Single viewpoint or moving?
If single viewpoint then autostitch works pretty well.

Probably single viewpoint if you mean all taken from the same spot.

Cheers both, will read the other thread and try autostitch.

Yep, I posted about this last week, autostich was neat and easy to use.

I also used the following settings for it:#

Jon Taylor - Member

Best settings for autostitch from another place:

quality: 100 (obv, just the jpeg compression)
blending bands: 12 (or higher, helps get rid of edges, which don't quite line up drifting into and out of existence)

for vertical panoramas it can help to rotate the images using Image rotation: anti/clockwise so that it comes out horizontal and you just rotate it back afterwards

a bit resource hungry but I'm getting ok results with this

ebygomm- love the 360x360 sphere/polar :0

Thanks Jon
