Or did he get kicked? He speaks like a 12-year-old lad with a sore throat, plays a bit worse than one too. Am I the only one disliking the guy?

Similar to Beckham as well though isn't it? Maybe he has been paying the "hide the mobile phone" game with Ashley Cole while on England duties?

He's a ****t. He was born in a place called Whiston, he isn't actually from Liverpool, yet it suits his image to do as much as possible for Liverpool, in fact he's point blank turned down/ignored invites to support his local hospital. His first football club was Whiston Juniors, and he's done the same with them.

Re: the kids situation, gossip is that he has asked for paternity tests to be performed on "his" kids!

CAn't wait for him to leave Liverpool, combined with the financial woes they'll come crashing down and probably be alongside PNE in no time!

To be honest anyone from Whiston should do all they can to distance themselves from it 😉

why am i not surprised to discover that a football fan is blissfully unaware of the difference between singular and plural?

How true, If I didn't work at the hospital I'd have nothing to do with the place.

Hopefully not in A&E - I've had an interesting experience of that place!

I don't watch a lot of football, but it did seem to me last night that he'd be better off playing some football rather than falling over all the time.

But then I'm not an expert on the modern game.

My wife worked at Whiston Hospital a few years ago as an anaesthetist. Our son was born there too after our home birth didn't quite go to plan!!

He tires himself out playing for his beloved Liverpool so is always very tired when playing for England and his 'ickle legs can't hold the poor lamb up.

In his defence, he did stand out like a sore thumb last night with the bandage on his head. But still - he is shit in an England shirt isn't he?

Saying that I would happily take all the bad things I have to say about him back if, just the once, he can bang in an important last minute wonder goal for England like he does for Liverpool. Perhaps in the final of the WC?

No, I'm a nurse specialist on the paeds unit. Only go to A&E if one of my patients is there, or I need A&E care myself!

If you can identify a 12 yo lad who can play better than him I think you should make him known!

Footballer in "being a bit of a tosser" shock!

Like the vast majority of them, over paid thugs. However all supporters are biased and what you said about Gerrard could be repeated about players in every team in the Premiership.
He is a fantastic player however and if you want the ball to fall to anyone in an England shirt 30yrds outside the box with 1 minute to go, in the final then its him!

I'd rather he wasn't there in the first place. Give the ball to Lampart, 22 goals last season, easily the best midfielder on the ball right now.

Do a google search for Gerrard and national disgrace - dive after fake dive to get penalties.

He has done well and just secured £12 mill sponsership deal.

I don't support him at all but was impressed by his goal scoring and tackling yrs ago.

He he. Footballers eh? Was it Ronaldo? Who cares, or some such other comprehensively overpaid ****wit who said today that his talk with the England manager was, and I quote, 'The greatest conversation of my life'.

I laughed quite a lot when I heard that.

Yes mate, that's because the most interesting conversation of you life up till know when along the lines of....

"Hey, did you see David's wife, that posh spice, she's fit isn't she."
"Yeah, she's fit."
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"And" (and obviously this is the bright one), "..and like that Cheryl who Ashley was with/wif, she was fit too yeah?"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"

It's like Einstein meeting Turin isn't it?

Yes but your judgement is already suspect.
Lampard is an excellent player and I agree likely to do just as good a job so its a matter of preference not science.
Why would you rather he wasnt there? As I said the England team will be made up of a whole mix of idiots, how have you made your choice?
