What a cracking program but my head hurts now.

Dara is cleverer than he looks.

Made me want to get my telescope out in the back garden. Unfortunately, it is really cloudy here.
Good programme though.

To be honest, I was really looking forward to it as I am fascinated by that subject, but I thought it was rather poorly put together.

I love all of Brian Cox's programmes and thought it was quite funny when you could tell that he really wanted to come out with some very complicated explanation and then noticeably thought "how do I explain this to average Johnny Viewer".

I still enjoyed it though.

Enjoyed it muchly. Dara has a good layman's grasp of the subject. Sadly, much too cloudy down here in the South West to see anything outside.

Bit of a let down IMO. Shows promise but a bit disjointed. And why didn't the director / producer just cut the Jonathan Ross bit ? JR is either really dumb or playing to the camera. "I have all these telescopes but have no idea of anything or how to use them". Dara on the other hand showed genuine excitement when looking thru the telescope at the start.

Still went outside though but couldn't see a thing due to cloud 🙁

Dara is cleverer than he looks.

If I remembered right he studied theoretical physics at uni back in the day.

it was infuriating seeing J Ross with equipment of that standard and no idea whatsoever how to use it, he just seemed indifferent

Thought the programme was alot better today, although it could really do with being twice as long.

I really enjoyed it. I too was impressed with Dara's knowledge.

Its programmes like this that prove the need for the license fee, who else but the beeb would devote an hour of primetime television to what must be a very marginal interest subject

Looking forward to tonights installment

That bit on the sounds of the stars was a complete waste of time though...

Brian Cox's earlier work...

Hmmmm...

There's quite a difference...

I thought the segment on the sounds the sun "generated" was quite interesting. It might seem flakey but it at least showed the different avenues of investigation that are being pursued.

Also, you have to think it's been dumbed down and livened up somewhat for a television audience.

I enjoyed the second night much more, specially the brilliantly timed meteor.

I've been enjoying it, though it's suffered from "Stargazing Live!! Oh, it's cloudy."
