Hi
Got a stag do to arrange for my mate at the end of May. He's looking for somewhere in the borders. We need a big self catering cottage(s) to sleep about 15 folk, he's not too bothered about it being close to a population centre as we'll just get bevvied at or near where we're staying. Semi-nearness to a trail centre that hires bikes is fairly important tho not essential. He's also mentioned having a go at paragliding, does anyone know anywhere that does tandem flights with absolute never done it before's? Any other outdoorsy activities to suggest? Any gorge walking?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Gorge walking & paragliding...? You might need to go a bit further North. Get cheap flights to Inverness and hit the Cairngorms or Ft Bill.
Get someone to do it all for you, eg
Or the Lakes
For activities you could try St Mary's Loch for sailing and windsurfing.
Not a huge drive from there to get to Inners etc. Nice pub at tibbies shiels as well.
For accomodation there is a good bunkhouse at Ettrickbridge, but I'm not sure about self catering cottages. I"m sure there must be some small casteles around somewhere....
There are also hot air balloning options I think.
The Borders is Fishing, Rugby and Horses. Oh nearly forgot Shooting.
There is some 4x4 driving .
There is somewhere that does Archery:

For my stag do, we went to Aberfeldy and did white water rafteing and quad bike racing. Then got rat arsed and had a stripper with the best tits I've ever seen and she did some really rude stuff.
