Was that their debut album? I stopped listening to them when they went all commercial.

Mine are usually meaningful in some way. Not that I’m likely to tell you how some of them are meaningful...

Aren’t most peoples musical tastes wilfully eclectic? Generally people enjoy a variety of music. At the moment I’m listening to Dvorak, John the Dentist (a maths teacher in “real life”) and Dolly Parton. Are you perhaps suggesting that there’s a hint of the poseur at play in the song choices?

No point sharing a playlist of stuff people are most likely already familiar with, I'm not going to bother with stuff I know I don't like.  Better to take a chance on finding something I didn't know I don't like 🙂

Nothing more boring than just listening to one tired old genre of music. Surely one of the benefits of Spotify is that you can playlist a decent variety. I don't use it because my own collection is like that anyway, but without the crap 😀

If only Idris Elba was on STW. He was moaning in the press the other day about the stress he endured in "curating" the music for the Ginger Prince's wedding - these playlists would have been a godsend.
