Hope its' that man with the red hair philips idowu, anyone who has coloured hair all year round is cool in my book.

Reckon giggs could sneak it with the united support. hope button doesn;'t as i think he is a chopper. fit girlfriend though.

Just voted for Cav but I think the Beeb will give it to Button because that is the biggest sport they have the rights for next year.

Wish it was Peaty, it should be Giggs, but it'll no doubt be Button.

I hope Cav wins but probably got little chance. The programme is awful though, so smug, cheesey and up it's own arse. I'm off to watch the snooker, it'll be more interesting ๐Ÿ™„

I really hope Ennis will get it - such a multi-disciplinary individual talent.

a - its for disabled people who confuse "sport" with watching telly
b - Philips Idowu? ****ing Hopscotch player? **** off.
c - Heptathlon - now that's a real sport.
d - But Cavendish was IMMENSE.

No I'm not voting. In this or any other TV show.

Of course it will be button. The luckiest F1 winner since James Hunt? right car at the right time. Not the best driver out there, no real personality. A schmuck

It'll be interesting to see how he copes with being beaten by Hamilton race after race.

Not the best driver out there, no real personality

The championship is usally won by the driver in the best car. Was mansell "the best" driver in 92? Or prost in 93? Or any of Piquet's titles. By your logic you'd argue no, cos Senna was still "the best" driver, albeit in worse cars.

As for holding "no real peronality", we all know the show should be called "most successful/popular" sportsperson of the year. Have any of the winners in the last 10 years been "real peronsonalities"?

Basically second time in a row STW has freaked and called it wrong. Not really a shock with uniteds fan base plus even city fans have a soft spot for giggs.

I'm not sure he's really the top sportsperson out there but he's a damn good one and deserving of the award when you consider his career.

TJ talking b@llocks as usual though I see ๐Ÿ™„

I'm a Liverpool fan and I do respect everything Giggsy has done. He is a great role model for any budding football player - but win this!!!!!!! No way.

Shouldnt the sports personality of the year have an actual personality? Ryan Giggs does not!

I saw an amazing comment in a newspaper the other day about this. It said that Cav had no chance as he'd only come 135th in Le Tour and that was hardly a winning habit. Er what about the small matter of more stage wins than any other Brit??!!

But Smif**** they didnt' even mention his Milan san Remo win as "normal" non cycling people will just have no clue! I think it should've been Ennis or Button.
