the support scaffold is retracted... you'd have thought they'd leave that attached for a static fire.

maybe they've just realised this too 🙂

Holding at specific countdown points is normal.

Why they've not resumed yet, I don't know.

I'm intrigued.

it's awesome.

t'missus has earned serious brownie points with this little beauty 🙂

she got it out of the green and blacks cookbook - worth investigating if you like very very dark, moist chocolatey awesomeness.

I'm glad it's not just me that finds this fascinating.

I'll be visiting KSC (again) in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

It's not actually a launch, bear in mind.

Still cool, though.

I have been lucky enough to see 2 shuttle and 1 rocket launches at Kennedy and Canaveral on some of our visits to the space centre.

Its hard to describe the feelings of watching something go off to space in front of your eyes.!

Am gutted they scrapped the manned space program for the near future.

I've never seen the shuttle launch (and never will now *sadface*) but I've seen a rocket launch from two miles outside minimum safe distance on Satellite Beach. There aren't words.
