Na, the ones you put in at the start get blitzed down, and thicken it, the ones at end are lush. A meal in a bowl.
Made a lovely pea and mint soup too, a recipe from Tom Kerridges new book, it was ace too.
ugh i can smell your soup burps from here OP
Tomato and Basil.
Tomato and Red pepper.
Curried sweet potato and butternut squash.
Lentil Dahl.
Thai green curry with Chicken thighs was great till it leaked in my bag.
Largely the same system, BBQ some Veg for a nice charring, add to onion and stock in a pan, add seasoning and cook for a bit, then blend varying volumes depending on how chunky you want the soup to be. Add coconut milk if you want a creamier finish.
Sauté an onion in some butter (30g)
Chop up about 400g of seasonal veg ( Jerusalem Artuchoke, beetroot , cauliflower , carrot or something and spice up if needed)
Cover in milk ( to about 2” above veg) and cook for 30 mins ish. Make sure veg are chopped pretty small
Blend and if too thick then loosen with water
Serve with truffle oil or dill oil or something. Fancy that looks nice

just sat eating a spicy chickpea and lentil soup. with 2 tins of mackerel floating in it.
Ton, you're supposed to open the tins. HTH.
You should probably take the mackerel out of the tins.
You could break a tooth.
Dammit! 18 seconds too slow. It’s probably the shoes.
you guys.................. ;o)
My mate made pheasant soup the other day with the carcasses, usual soup stock veg and just a nice amount of chilli, tasted rich, but absolutely lovely with a nice kick to it (was great as we were on winter bivvy at the time), washed down with sloe gin and blackberry brandy
What colour was it? Male or female pheasents?
A few tins of sweetcorn (4 maybe). Open them, fill with water with the sweetcorn still in there.
Fry an onion and a chopped red pepper with your preferred level of chilli pepper. Add sweetcorn and water. Cook for a bit.
Blend roughly.
Serve with a spiral of soured cream and add chopped coriander.
Eggs poached in tomato soup.
Any New England chowder recipe
This is also good:

Corn chowder.
Or for a real surprise, pear and watercress is amazing, but a bit more of a summery soup.
One of my favourites for quite a few years now.

Fry chorizo, turn down heat add onion and garlic, then butternut squash and chicken stock, chilli to taste and some smoked paprika. When squash cooked blend.
Fry 2 leeks and 100g chopped chorizo, when leeks have softened add two tins of tomatoes, 300g red lentils, 1lt chicken stock and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Cook for about 20 mins.
Souper easy and frikkin' delish. Lunch for a week for about £4 - use the money saved to buy bike stuff.

LOLs!
I tend to make soup up as I go along, but roughly:
Soften a couple of leeks, an onion, a clove of garlic and a thumb of finely chopped fresh ginger
Maybe throw in some lemon grass if you have any
Add 2 or 3 potatoes and a pint of so of good chicken stock
Throw in some chopped streaky bacon and maybe some chopped chicken breasts if you want more protein.
Season generously
Boil it up and blitz it
Sorted.
