Love the Holger track, new to me. Bit catchier than I remember Tago Mago being.

Most music makes me happy... this on the other hand if listened to on repeat will make you feel depressed even when things are good...

This one does it for me, just for its daftness:

But this one I think is just incredibly joyous, even better when paired up with its video:

Can I do another one? Oh OK then. Bit of a long game this one. It sounds like summer and american children's TV and driving home tired after a big day and low winter sunshine on the reservoir and being the last ones up at the end of a music festival when everyone has passed out and a first smile from a pretty girl or a last smile before you leave.

Great choice Northwind. The Go! Team have a new album out at end of month you know.

Ian Parton has said these two songs are the two main inspirations for the band. Both are perfect for this thread...

I was delighted because My Name is Nobody has been one of my favoutire movies for years and I often whistle the theme to myself.

Ooh, cheers Chakaping... I've always thought there must be loads of old music that sounds just like it but didn't know where to start!

Groove Is In The Heart.
I don't even really like the song, particularly, but I can't help dancing/jiggling/acting like a fool when I hear it. Causes much amusement when stuck in a traffic jam. And if you are dancing, you can't help being cheered up, right?
(this comes from a confirmed rock bint, so it came as some surprise to me!!)

Pretty cheesy but they never fail. Build me up, Buttercup too but that's already been posted and similarly it's funny as the lyrics are actually pretty sad. Oh and Ski Low too but that's mainly for the funny student memories ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't know why, because I am no dope fiend, but this does something for me. I think it's just me... ๐Ÿ™
Actually, I think it's just the riff that just cheers me up. It reminds me of the Munsters. Or is it the Addams family?
Maybe that in itself is more worrying...

+1 for the Proclaimers too.

Proclaimers makes me smile as I'll never forget the image of several of my mates marching around the dance floor towards the end of my wedding when it played ๐Ÿ™‚

Lordy, I do love that Ellie Goulding.
For her musical talent you understand, heavens above I might think she was pretty alright looking too.

it sounds daft but I played metallica ride the lightning and master of puppets this afternoon LOUD, had a go on my weights, it was proper blowing a gale and pishing down outside, real miserable pizz-you-off weather, I wanted to go biking, but hey! all good ๐Ÿ™‚

can someone complain to the mods, I find the pic of the proclaimers above very offensive.

it's the intimidation and underlying intent, that they would walk 500 miles to be at my door that scares me.

it's the huge range of garden cabins that does it for me TSY
