Bimbling on Tidal this evening and realised that it's 50 years since Solid Air was released.
Still sounds great.

Inadvertently posted on the bike forum too, it's not about fork settings I'm afraid

Sublime. Cried a lot when he died.

I love this performance of Johnny Too Bad from Later in 2004.

The intro to the title track sends shivers down my spine. As gordimor said, solid air and one world his best (for me). A troubled and violent man.

Saw him at the Edinburgh playhouse in the early 90s and he was absolutely phenomenal. Solid Air was a mainstay on the family turntable when I was growing up

A troubled and violent man.

He was that. Saw him a number of times, and mostly he was fantastic, but one gig, may have been Bath or Bristol, he was so drunk the concert was a complete mess, he could barely sing, he was largely incoherent and it was frankly embarrassing. Terribly sad, though.
