£75m for Lakaku is insane how many goals did he score against the big game last year?
More than Kane , Aquero, Sanchez iirc with a massive 2
WHAT?Chelsea rejected him for a reason.
they were even trying to scupper it , they lost out, they did not pull out.
He will get you goals I am not sure he is a massive improvement on what we have.
Hampers rashfords development, and Martials ,as a Striker.
Think we need to sell as well as we have plenty of number 10's we dont need them.
Chelsea refused to pay the agent fees
Shame for Rashford as by the time he's Lukaku's age he'll be better. But that would need a bit of patience, game time and trust - which Jose doesn't really dig in young players. Hence why he was happy to let Lukaku (and De Bruyn) go when he was at Chelsea.
Junkyard this is his stats against the big boys
Lukaku has made 36 Premier League appearances against Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool - he has scored just five goals.
Chelsea refused to pay the agent fees
As @dirty says, £10m allegedly 😯
Dragon - you will find similar-ish stats for all the top strikers at the big clubs. Reality is most are flat track bullies!
Yep, I'm also going with "scoring against a top side is quite hard" not being a surprise.
Ok, apparently the Lukaku/Stormzy deal was good business.
....but this one is silly, right?
Manchester City agree £50m deal to sign Kyle Walker from Tottenham
They are all silly money deciding what is silly what is ridiculous and what is the market is daft
Would I pay it for a 27 year old defender NO
Big money for the best when young is fine but as they age they lose resale value and you dont have them as long
Pogba could be at Man u for over a decade possibly even lukka him 5 years and he is still only a defender 😉
A nice story here from my adopted homeland. My local club Östersund, formed in 1996 and who last year won their first ever Trophy( the equivilant of the Swedish League cup) played a Europa League qualifying match against the mighty Galatasary in front of 5500 people on a plastic pitch.
It was 8c and raining and they won 2-0. Now to Istanbul in front of 50,000 people, 35c and "Welcome to Hell"
We have an English manager, Graham Potter, so it is a proud day today!
