Jnr FD (age 6) awake at 4:45 and still not gone back to sleep. He is genuinely excited, and keeps hearing Rudolph on the roof of the house.

It's going to be a long enjoyable day 😆

Been up ~30mins, still a fraction of a lie-in compared to a work day, although it's a bit odd for me to still be able to wake naturally without an alarm so early at the mo (body clock normally goes crazy due to SAD).

At least I get a while of peace, before the chaos that will unfold later, as much as it's nice to see the family I find it all a bit too exhausting!

Kids woke us up at 6. Trying to keep them vaguely quiet so all the visiting family can sleep.

Happy Chrustmas to the early risers!

Dog woke me an hour ago for toilet. Debating whether to keep my tradition up of going for ride while wife lies in, it's bloody breezy out.

Only the eldest awake but he went back to bed to wait for the other 3 I think he'll burst in the next 5-10 minutes though so just trying to relax before the bedlam begins!

Been awake since 6. Mrs Gastro won't let me get up yet. We're going for a run at 7:30 so she needs to get up soon

Awake since 3.
I've got insomnia, and if that wasn't bad enough, I can't sleep either.
Still, have a nice day folks.

All the kids in the houses around us judging by the lights on in bedrooms. It raised a wry smile.

Dog fed and relieved, Mrs is now sorting roast spuds to take away with us to Ms Sandwich for a late dinner in the Pub.

Happy Christmas and best wishes to you Bruneep.

I've caught a stinking cold so been up intermittently all night sneezing and sniffing. I seem to be popular with MrsBouy, I have been given the "one eyed stare"/"tut" routine 6 times already.

Kids hovering outside my bedroom door since about 7:30. Traditionally, only Dad can check to 'see if Santa has been', and its sweet that they're still doing this, as my eldest is now 13 🙂
