But wonder of those Euro policies might isolate / ruin us..... Are we too far in to get out and stand on our own 2 feet - what will the effect be on Euro trade...?
Yes
Yes
Bad
Someone will be along soon to label you a closet racist.
This ^^ is what I thought.....
Edit - responding to lazy bike.....
Far too xenophobic, homophobic for my liking, shame as I like some of their policies.
Someone will be along soon to [s]label you a closet racist[/s] assign you a place to stand against the wall come the revolution.
FTFY
Doesn't matter who you vote for at the next election Britain is ****ed 🙁
Lol. Good luck with closet racist. Although I understand. I think though there's nothing wrong with being patriotic to the point that immigrant must support themselves and arnt accepted by default to be supported by my taxes.
Double post
That that twit Farage visited Murdoch shows he is just like all the rest.
My Parents live in Eastleigh ward, and they encountered the real UKIP on the streets, found them to be quite rude and intimidating when they wouldn't agree with them. Not pleasant at all. My mum, who sees good in most people, called them thugs.
You pay tax....how very seventies.supported by my taxes.
Got any tips how not to lazybike? 🙂
A quick read of UKIP's cycling policies should set you straight.
Ukip=posh bnp

Which 'immigrants' are accepted by default? Do you mean citizens from fellow EU member states?
what we need is a political party that doesn't have any firm policies or beliefs and just asks us what we all think as they go along. kind of like what the liberals were meant to do, only with a good twitter monkey.
Jimw - well if your mum doesn't like them, that should be good enough for the rest of us.
Glad all that's dealt with. Forget reasoned debate, Jim's maw disnae like them.
Yes that. I appreciate there is more too it, but too many abuse the system whilst I stoically contribute to the pot. Maybe that's my fault for not learning a few tax dodges.
birney29
well, that's big of you to insult an 80 year old who has no way of answering you back
I echo "Kona TC" sentiments above, i truly believe that unless you are in the very upper few percentage wealth earning/accumulator bracket in this country in the coming decades then it will only get more difficult to sustain our current level of lifestyle and expectations - everything at the moment is being screwed down to the 9'th degree regarding expenditure on services and resources for the 95% despite the upper 5% of society accumulating ever increasing vast wealth reserves since the end of the 1950's - either we have a true revolution in this country and the further western world regarding our current economic model of capitalism or it's all going to the dogs in our lifetime.
C'mon the revolution...............solidarity brothers! 😀
Jimw- if you bring her opinion into it as some sort of implied evidence of ukips skulduggery, why should I give the proverbial rats ass what age she is?
because at best its a protest vote
and their little englander issues aside, homophobia, sexism etc
their basic desire to leave the EU would INCREASE red tape when trading with europe, wtf would we want to do that?
and the rest of their policies are a joke, well their science policy is anyway

pro homeopathy too!
climate change denial

No mate, death and taxes there's no escape...Got any tips how not to lazybike?
It is a lazy mistake to see UKIP as racist, just because most of the people who support them are racist, folks tend to assume they are all racist.
Yes that. I appreciate there is more too it, but too many abuse the system whilst I stoically contribute to the pot. Maybe that's my fault for not learning a few tax dodges.
Far more 'British' people abuse the benefit system, the NHS etc. Perhaps we could start with them? How about chatting to the ECGD, who you also fund, about their support of British interests in turkey which led and still leads to the persecution and murder of Kurds who quite often end up here as migrants?
I was ready to support them with my vote until I read they support blood sports. Sod the economy save the foxes.
Surely the reason that UKIP are getting the support they are is down to the absolute failure of the mainstream parties (Tories / Labour) to even pretend to have relevance to / give a rat's ar$e about the majority of the electorate?
why should they ...the majority don't voteto / give a rat's ar$e about the majority of the electorate?
And why don't they vote?
i really dont want to violate godwin, BUT
there is a precedent for demonising foreigners when the economy is going down the pan,
and i really dont want to sound like an arrogant snob (but know I am)but it seems to be the default position of lazy tabloids, racists and thick people
kimbers - correct!
Cani just ask which end you are veering from? I mean if you are veering from a more racist, xenophobic, homophobic, small-minded and idiotic partyor plitical stance, then good for you!
People I work/socialise with are talking about them more and more. Interesting Theresa May tonight saying the torys will scrap the Euro Human rights legislation if they win the next election. A good move imo.
Kyrton.
Do you have figures to suggest more "immigrants" are abusing the system, claiming benefits etc than the British population? As a percentage? Genuine question.
to the point that immigrant must support themselves and arnt accepted by default to be supported by my taxes.
You realise non-UK nationals claim far less in benefits than UK nationals do? Immigrants coming here to claim benefits is a myth.
Almost every problem seems to have been blamed on immigration at somepoint, high house prices, lack of jobs, benefits bill too high blah blah etc.
Why don't people MTFU and say what they really mean, they just don't like seeing foreign people moving into their town.
We need a "None of theAbove" option at elections.
The lack of any controlling party/majority in Belgium doesn't seem to have done them any harm - in fact the few I have contact with have never known the country run so well. At the end of the day it's generally the same civil servants doing the work but with no party politics dictating how, it all seems to just work.
Horatio, you have any figures, I totally agree with you, but as I said before I'm interested to see some numbers.
in the coming decades then it will only get more difficult to sustain our current level of lifestyle and expectations
All the baby boomers will die eventually and then we'll be all right - blame them, with their vitamins, and their NHS and their life expectancy and their pensions that are worth money... Their stony reluctance to succumb gracefully to old age is the main reason why the P in GDP is the only one of the numbers going up, not immigration.
unfortunately these are the people who vote, despite not knowing it has about as much influence or importance in the era of popular centralism as voting on big brother. This is why you can't vote in a general election via text.
Ironically a good old fashioned land based war would boost production and bring population down to a more affordable level - so watch out for that idea from UKIP, or maybe the liberals.
We need a "None of theAbove" option at elections.
I keep saying it - ballot papers (and even poling stations) should not display the political affinity of the candidates - if they can't make you remember their name - they're not worth a vote. If you can remember their name - they're accountable.
I'm not demonising foreigners. Fwiw yossarian probably has a point. But we all know that the previous governments immigration policy led to mass stated funding to support it.
My view of immigration is this: if I'm expected to not drink in the street without punishment, or steal without risking my hand being chopped off, of receive lifetime inprisonment for drug trafficing in other countries, then anyone migration here should be prepared to, and be enforced to obey our laws and respect our culture. Feel free to celebrate your own without impacting on mine. I don't give a monkeys what colour you are or religion you practice, just respect our way of life, as we are expected to do.
Fwiw on the flip side of the coin I believe "we" should do this too. Trying to westernise places, turning falaraki in a den of laddism and sexual conduct for example pisses me right off.
I can't find the DWP report! I had it earlier, something like 6.5% of non-uk nationals claim benefits, compared to around 16% of UK nationals.

Your last statement is untrue. MIL deals with that as a job, and the stories about the deciept, but ALSO the shambolic ease in which the government will release funds astounds me.
Let's scare Middle England (still not sure where that is):
I vote out.
Yes, it might be painful to vote UKIP but that can be sorted out later on internally but the EU thingy it is ****ed. Staying longer means more mess to sort out later as there are more mouths to feed.
If a country cannot take control of it's border then what's the point of a country?
If you really want to be liberal then let Asia join. Open the door.
p/s: back to watching Skyline ... WTF ... what stupid ending is that? Going on the cheap with lousy animation ...
well, they are the third party now http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/mar/09/ukip-opinium-observer-opinion-poll
