Yeh,
I know all the usual, why have one?, who cares etc etc, but should I go for
Ebay, AutoTrader or Exchange and Mart?
I'm drawn to Autotrader but £42?
Value about £1200 - Peugeot 306 1.8 in good condition if your interested in Worcestershire.

Pistonheads, free so good place to start! Though I've had more luck on ebay, much cheaper than autotrader and reaches a good audience. Shame it's not the diesel or 2.0 might have been interested. Good luck selling!

Ebay all the way now. Autotrader is very quiet compared to the past and the £42 fee is way too high. The magazing is now pretty much all adverts and is less than half the size it used to be a few years ago. The £12ish fee for an ebay classified ad is the best option.

Pistonheads is also worth doing as are any specific make forums (e.g. ford focus owners club) if it's special in some way (spec, miles, condition etc).

For me selling a car is about doing the deal fast & having done with it. I sell a car when it owes me nothing so something is a bonus. Always autotrader and extra for the rag as well as online, always close to the book price and always been massively honest about condition and flaws. Clean to within an inch of its life first. Never had a car sat on my drive more than a week later. Last car was gone within 9hrs of putting the ad on and turned the telesafe numbers off 24hrs later after 23 messages left on our phone. £40 odd well spent.

If you are a trusted eBayer (100% feedback, leave feedback on payment, etc.), then go for it. Massive pics (hosted off eBay for free of course), start bidding at 99p (which I do on all my auctions inc. 2 cars).

Sold my 2001 Fiesta on eBay last year using eBay classifieds. Think it was a 28 days for £20 or maybe less.
