[Closed] so aircraft experts,what is the fastest aircraft in the world today?

F117 RAF flyer that I knew told a story about them being at some sort of reception. All the fly boys in flight suits with the decals and badges they bling them up in all pretty drunk and rowdy. Silence decends when some chaps in dark blue flight suits and a small silver M3 badge walk in. Blackbird pilots out cooling the cool.

Some great stories there. As we haven't agreed on the fastest yet, what about the noisiest? Lucky to be at Farnborough yesterday and thought the F18 and Typhoon were 'kin loud at takeoff yesterday, Typhoon more so when giving it the full beans for the high speed climb. Conversely the new B787 Dreamliner was impressively quiet.
