The campsites in Nant Peris are usually open year-round. Not sure they fit the description of 'good', but they are opposite a pub and handy for Llanberis cafes and the main path.

Agree with Unfitgeezer - only £4 or so, has all the basics covered, and great views.

Why not just stay at The Heights? Run by climbers, warm, dry, great beers, food, bunk rooms for a few quid. Sorted.

It's a bit further away, but the forestry commission site at beddgelert is very good (outside of midge season).
