Ok, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm out in Japan and have bought a second hand board and bindings, the board is burton but a few years old so has the triangle holes for mounting the bindings (3d?).

The bindings are Sims and have only come with 1 pair of circular base plates that have 4 holes in a squared pattern.

I think I need something like this to make it all work.

My questions are; will these discs fit in my sims bindings? or do I need sims specific ones?

If you can't tell already I'm a complete noob and its taken me a full day of googling to get this far. any help appreciated.

Yes that's what you'll need. Shame you didn't realise earlier as I'm sure there are plenty of folk (like me) who have them knocking around unused.

Those discs should fit, probably, I think.

(The bindings would have originally come with some 3-hole discs in the box)

Best bet is to get yourself down to the local snowboard emporium. Even if your Japanese is non-existent I'm sure some point at board and bindings should get the message across.

thanks guys. didn't figure out it was an issue till I got them out at home, all purchased here in japan so couldnt do anything at the time.

@GrahamS; yes thats pretty much my plan, go to a shop and point, wanted to make sure I was pointing at the right bits first though.

Cheers.

They should be OK

But thinking about it, that Burton 3d insert make up on the board... I'm sure that you could fit 4 whole bindings to them but in only one place so to speak... which will obviously limit your stance options but will at least get you out on the hill
