...what are your experiences?

Just wondered if people had saved money by switching to one. Thinking of moving to First Utility.

Cheers!

Aren't all meters being changed to smart meters anyway? Our gas and leccy ones were changed ages ago without us doing anything

Not sure who make First Utility meters but serious privacy vulnerability in some of them (the consultant responsible for the software was able to pick any meter on the network and view the energy consumption in real-time with no audit or special access required.)

Smart meters will have limited use in domestic applications I think.
You'll generally only have around 4 circuits in your house; Lighting, 1 or 2 for Small power, Oven and maybe an external supply (shed etc)?
Energy management isn't rocket science. If it doesn't need to be on; turn it off! and this is coming from an energy manager!
You will probably have an AMR, do go online and look at your energy profiles. Do set targets and do try to improve. Maybe make a game of it with the kids?

I wouldn't want one anywhere near my house.
