Anyone tried (or got)one? the 85mpg appeals to me for my daily commute.

Read a review which thought it was completely pants, and that you'd do better either with a petrol version or something else entirely.

I'd have thought you'd be better off with either an Ibiza Ecomotive or a Polo Bluemotion.

I think i read in autocar that one of the staff got 61mpg average from a week with the Ecomotive, whereas another got 71mpg from it!
So, a lot of it is driving style, but 71mpg is really impressive.
And I think the Polo & Ibiza eco-cars are basically the same thing.

Just go bangernomics like your fellow quantockian persons. Get an old non common rail diesel, top her up with chip fat, off you zip.

polo or ibiza deisel as above. those smart cars are not all they claim to be.

the jag twin turbo diesel gets good mpg too ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜‰

My r reg 106 diesel did just under 65mpg on its last tank full.
I'm not sure how smart it is, but it is a rather fetching green colour.
