I love the first time in the spring when you go outside and the sun actually has a bit of warmth to it. 🙂

My daughter giving me a huge grin first thing on Monday morning. Even though she was sat on the toilet after a huge poo waiting for me to wipe her bottom.

When you realise how bright the moon is, turn your light off and you can see the trail/road in front. Riding your bike by moonlight, grin worthy.

Swimming in a lake, in the lake district in the middle of a hot day. Looking around at the mountains either side of the lake, getting the willys a little bit about what's underneath you and is coming to chomp on your toe. Grab your goggles and duck down underwater near the bank, look up at the sunshine coming through the murky green. Swimming down with the little fishes to look for interesting pebbles.

Almost anything,
In a constant state of amazement.

I just discovered the winning combination of coffee and doughnuts.

That said, I can often be a miserable fart on the face of it, Far from it 😉

The first day of the year when bikes outnumber cars on the commute and they just have to wait

oh, and every now and then you get a bottle of leffe that is just magical. Don't know why but its fantastic when it happens

When a prolonged fettling session actually achieves the desired outcome and avoids an expensive and humiliating trip to the bike shop. A rare and giddy high.

The small and simple things I love are...a cup of earl grey tea, a big poo and hugs... in that order. I'm pretty sure all 3 at once would be the most amazing thing ever but it would be so hard to top I can bring myself to do it.

Bikes are also good.

the first dry day of spring when everyone is happy, even the red socks, and we're all so glad to be out in the dry that we share the trails with none of the usual grumpiness

EDIT: and the cherry on top was the smile from a pretty lady on a bike who didn't seem too disturbed by the random mtber saying hello

Thinking you are completely stuffed whilst eating a curry and drinking beer, only to then let out a massive burp which then creates more capacity for you to carry on eating the curry loveliness!

Quite a lot of the above do it for me.

But I got a lovely cuddle from LittleMissMC when she sneaked into our bed at 6 o'clock this morning. And then we discovered that her mum sounds like an AC Cobra when she snores 😆

JAG, on a an early morning summer ride to work last summer I saw a deer swimming back across the canal and then strolled into the woods, and a heron fishing in the morning mists. I was almost in tears with the joy of it.
