[#10713728]

My son graduates on Monday in Portsmouth

Looking for a nice place to take him for dinner on our way back home to Devon

Any ideas not too far from A35/A30, a hotel gets bonus points as we can stay there as well.

Pig on the beach is awful. Overpriced and full of chavs.

The Priory in Wareham is very very nice however.

Having said that, if it's a graduation then your young lad will get much better kudos and eye candy at the Pig.

If you just want some decent food and beer, nothing fancy. Brewhouse and kitchen. There is one in Poole and one in Dorchester. Grab a growler and also take some beer home with you too.

The pig is overrated, as is the one near Brockenhurst (very crowded). Morten house was great when we went a few years ago. Our favourite is Limewood house near Lyndhurst. Really good food and lovely atmosphere.
