My Dad (70) is due to go on holiday skiing on the 5th March, but his mate who was supposed to be going with him has pulled out today. My Dad thought some thing was up, but it turns out he is suffering from quite severe depression. My Dad doesn't want to go by himself understandably.
The insurance will not cover cancellation, apparently depression is excempted.
Is there any where you can sell holidays on, any other way than can try and recoup some of the costs?
Thanks
First port of call, ask the holiday company if they will do a name change, they may for the accommodation, but not for the flight. But best to try their best nature especially given your Dad's age
Until Friday 2 weeks before departure they will do a change of name for £25 for accomodation and flights. However at such short notice my Dad can not get any one else to go!
Hence why we were wondering if it is possible to sell both places on...
I suppose if you can change names then you can sell the holiday on!
Try snowheads.
As suggested, it's worth putting it up on snowheads.com. March 5th is pretty busy, there's very little left out of Manchester especially so there might be a market for it. Where's the holiday from / to?
