Really love my pair of On Roger Spins but they're wearing through and they don't make them in black any more:

on-the-roger-spin-sneakers-detail-3.jpg They've got the cushioning of a running shoe but without looking like one. They look a bit like skate shoes, but of course skaters want board feel so I never get on with them.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where else I can look? They have to come in dark colours.

Thanks!

Yeah, have a look at Vans. Many of their classic shoes come in a 'Skate' version with 'popcush/ultracush' support, I'm a big fan.

Skate shoes are either “ cup soles” or “Vulcs”

the cup sole ones are what you are looking for. New balances skate division (nb numeric) is a good starting point, or any of the waffle cup vans ( the bmx ones rather than the skate line have more of these)

Thanks all! Will hopefully find something that can mollycoddle my delicate little tootsies.

I wouldn't have thought skate shoes would have the same level of cushioning as a running shoe, though. I have a pair of (cupsole) NB #600s which are still way firmer than any of my runners.

Ride Concepts Vice, not too grippy riding shoes but very comfy and supportive everyday shoes.

Vans Ultrarange shoes are nice. I've had a few pairs - they look skate-ish but they're a bit more rugged and have a lovely footbed.

I've gone full gorpcore and wear ONs now for every day use but I might pick up a set of Vans again at some point.
