Not a cake but my mum's trifle from last year. Home made sponges and egg custard, apricots, cherries, nuts and lashings of sherry and cream.

Far too unorganized this year for a traditional one so rich chocolate cake with cherries soaked in brandy, chopped almonds and more brandy poured over afterwards with white chocolate and double cream topping 😈
Mince pies this afternoon (if papadirt has left me any brandy)
