Bro in law just purchased a bike from flea bay, he's got to sort the shipping. Anyone else sorted shipping for a bike before and who'd you use. Also any pointers in general would be good. Cheers folks.

I have a cosybike delivery from glasgow to chesterfield on the 23rd/24th sep. if that's any help.

It would be an hour out my way on the way home on the evening of the 24th and £30 of fuel to pay for. £50 all in.

failing that, get a bike box from a local shop, they chuck em out all the time ... guess what ... its just the right size for a bike.

I've then used the likes of dhl and their self-print online ordering service. been reasonable enough without issues if you pack it well ebough in the box ( protect the frame and rolled up bundles of newspaper to pack out the box and provide cushioning.

Open Yellopw Pages and start phoning local freight carriers. You'll soon find someone who is interested. They will all want to know the weight and dims.
