Morning all

I'm after some form of ligthing for in the shed to tide me over until I can get the electrics sorted for it. I've seen THIS on ebay which seems quite sensible, it wont eat batteries, can be charged indoors and can be used for other things which is all good.

Does anyone know if there any good or can you recomend somwthing else?

Cheers all ๐Ÿ™‚

SMD Light Tubes... - hook them up to a 12v battery. I use a couple for awning lighting at 24s and they are currently running off a transformer as kitchen lighting (will be replaced with the same type of lights in a more permanent fashion when I get around to it).

Rather than using a battery... can't you just run an extension cable to your shed?

not if it's raining

i have the same problem, although my shed is 60m from the nearest socket, thats a loooong extension cable and it'd have to cross a service road used by 5 other houses too

I can't run anything else off of our aged three fuse box, it would explode at the thought of it. Once the house is re wired next year I can look at getting the shed wired up properly.

The light strips look good, what battery would you use with them?

I used an old car battery, connected to some 12 volt tubes with difusers, the plastic covers over the lamp, they protect the lamp from breaking, so easy in ashed, hen battery goes flat take it in the house and plug it onto a battery charger overnight.we

12v leisure battery. They only use ~0.5A so even a small leisure battery (or even just a golf cart battery) will last ages.
