We will be in touch
If I were to share a sky dish with my neighbour, as I understand it this will need supplementary earthing as we will effectively now have an electrical connection between the 2 properties.
So, does it need the cables earthing at the dish end, or at the entry point to the house? Would we each need our earth connections connected to our main connection or just one of us, or do we each need a separate earthing spike for this setup?
Also, I've read that this setup could introduce interference on the satellite signal. Any experiences? plenty of flats have this setup so it can't be that bad? But I will certainly end up with an earth cable running along side coax underground of I need to earth at the dish without a separate spike.
It's rapidly looking like each having our own dish is the easiest solution, but they need to be large (80cm) dishes at the end of the gardens to get a signal so wanted to avoid having 2 if possible.
thanks in advance.
